Our Purpose for Giving
Deep in our hearts, we all want to make a difference. One way of bringing purpose to our lives is by helping and supporting activities that encourage and have an impact on the lives of others. What we value is reflected through our choices about where we spend our time and resources.
As a community of believers, our giving journey begins with reflecting on our values and then setting priorities for allowing God to work through us to make a difference in our community and the world.
We are grateful that you have chosen to learn about our programs and support the mission and people of Tabernacle of Glory New York. By spreading the good news of God’s grace and providing encouragement and hope, we are changing lives one person at a time.
Thank you for your gifts and tithes! We are excited to see what God will be able to do through you.
Grace and Peace.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians, 9:7

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Bible say about giving?
The Bible says a lot about giving, but there are three main Biblical themes to ponder as you reflect on your decision to give:
- Money is a blessing from God.
- God is glorified when those who have been blessed care for those who are in need.
- Money can be used for good, but it is also a potential idol and a force of disruption against a person’s ability to love God and neighbor.
Further, when we consider the sacrifice that Christ made for humankind, how else can we act if our mind is on Jesus.
May I set up recurring donations?
Yes, you can schedule Repeating Gifts. This option will require creating an Elexio account.
Is my credit card information safe?
Online giving utilizes an SSL encrypted connection that encrypts all financial information sent to our servers and the payment gateway. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions. Donations made online, by text, or on the app are processed by Elexio Giving.
How much should I give?
Giving is a personal decision. The Bible teaches the giving of “first fruits” side-by-side with tithing (tithing means to give one-tenth or 10% of income). (Numbers 18:13) Giving of firstfruits means responding first to God’s call to give, rather than waiting until after the bills are paid and knowing the amount leftover. We, at Tabernacle of Glory, focus upon the first fruits teaching as it focuses on God’s place in our lives and puts Him in our life ahead of our material needs. For those of us who have been blessed with much, it allows us to put God before all our “wants” or things that are not needed at all. It also encourages us to look at what we have to give to God concerning time and talent since these can also be firstfruits.
May I choose where my donation goes?
Yes, but we encourage everyone to give their first-fruits or tithes to our general operations. If you feel called to have additional giving above and beyond your regular offering, a special giving page offers choices for gifts to specific missions, ministries, and projects.
What core Ministries and Missions my gift supports?
Does online giving devalue the worship aspect of giving?
Giving is not simply about giving money, but about an act of worship and gratitude to our Lord, who has given us all we have as His stewards. We don’t want you to lose this aspect of thanksgiving and worship when you give digitally.
Do I pay any additional fees to give online?
There is no cost to the giver, although the church will incur a small transaction fee.
